The project is a 3D character animation and video edit, of an intro for a set of characters. The video is made keeping in reference the intro of the TV series Brooklyn 99
Each of the characters is first animated in Maya, by importing the rig into the scene. For the background, a 2D image is used, and a HDRI is used for the overall lighting, and the tone of the lighting and HDRI is set in such a way that the character and the background match each other.
For the OG characters, real life references have been used to create the animations, while for the Lego characters, a stop-motion style animation is used, to give them the Lego-movie type of a feel.
Once the animations are complete and rendered in Maya, they are imported into After Effects, to create the motion graphics for each of the characters.
